Our 5 Fundamental ‘Must Do’s’ of Social Media

Here are the 5 steps to outlining, framing and delivering your goals on social media without wasting your time!
It’s officially the new year and we’re ready to smash it, and all we want to do is help you do the same. 

But what is special about what we will be sharing with you today?

Well, our 5 Fundamental pillars are what we believe to be the groundwork for explosive socials.
We see it as a support system, that has been put to the test, to get you where you need to be to meet your 2020 ambitions. If optimising your online presence is the way that you need to go to improve this year then you’re definitely in the right place. 
We can only assume at the start what is the right direction.
Fundamental One – Where is it that you want to go?
Our experience shows that while the goal remains the same, the strategy needs to be in place to get us there. Social Media allows you to monitor what works and what doesn't adjust and move forward. Rik Courtney, our CEO is a social media expert and inspirational speaker. He excels greatly in creating social media strategies for many industries, that outline their business aims and objectives, we have discovered that the best way to progress in social is to incorporate goals into your social media strategy.

Fundamental Two – What is your value?
YOU need to educate your audience! The people you are trying to target will have limited knowledge about what you do (entirely), it is essential for them to listen and learn. However, this takes time as your industry changes regularly too. We see it as our job to help you deliver your value proposition in a way that others can digest. They come in many forms:
  • A monthly podcast designed to discuss and review products and services that you or the industry have to offer.
  • Video in the form of customer testimonials and or questions answered. These should be 3-5 minutes long.
  • A blog is an online diary or journal located on a website. The content of a blog typically includes text, pictures, videos, animated GIFs and even scans from old physical offline diaries or journals and other hard copy documents.

Fundamental Three – What’s in it for your customer?
Inbound marketing is all about delivering the right content to the right person at the right time. We have identified up to 24 post types including infographics, definitions and slideshows. Inbound marketing is a business methodology that attracts customers by creating valuable content and experiences tailored to them. The great thing about social proof is that it works for you while you're asleep. When you meet people, they take a look at your social media profiles. It's significant to have these profiles saying something that helps to make the conversion easier.

Fundamental Four – You must forge digital relationships
Social listening is the monitoring of your brand's social media channels for any customer feedback and direct mentions of your brand. But the fascinating part is you can search for discussions regarding specific keywords, topics, competitors, or industries. Here is where we help you to find and forge digital relationships. This Fundamental is fundamental. Here you can identify opportunities and nurture them into leads. It takes you right into the heart of a conversation and helps you to become a long-term solution.

Fundamental Five – Review, Review, Results
Throughout the whole process, monitoring and reviewing the insights to see how each post is performing is a must. There are a few ways to monitor your insights, but as long as you only do more of the content that works, you're on track to getting the results you deserve from your socials. 

Bonus - Don’t forget to re-market!
We are a big fan of data. Social media remarketing targets users that have visited your site or engaged with the content of your pages. Starting this as early as possible is a must. You can work out who engages with the different types of content. From here you can then reverse engineer the data to find others of the same demographic to target.
