Carousel posts are becoming a fundamental key to social media strategy.
Why? Because they are simple, engaging and offer loads of value!
Mainly popular on Instagram and LinkedIn, it’s also available on Facebook.
Carousels on Instagram are increasingly receiving 1.92% average engagement per post compared to 1.74% for single images and 1.45% for videos. Furthermore, the rate increases up to 2% when all ten carousel slides are used.
Additionally, a study conducted by Mark Lerner shows the engagement metrics on LinkedIn between standard and carousel posts. His results proved that they are more engaging!

Canva is the best free graphic design tool that will help you easily design carousel images.
1) Select a Square image template.
2) Create multiple images of up to at least 2-10 images.
3) Once you have designed the carousel slide, save the template.
4) Download the files, PNG for Facebook & Instagram, and PDF for LinkedIn

Create on PowerPoint
It’s effortless if you’re familiar with the programme!
1) Create a new Presentation
2) Select Design
3) Choose Slide Size
4) Customise it to 1080px (W) x 1080px (H).

Design on Photoshop
If you’ve got the skills in Photoshop, then creating a carousel post is simple:
1) Create 10800px (W) x 1080 (H) ; -2 - 10 Slides
2) View > New Guide Layout
3) 10 Columns, 1 Row
4) Slice Tool (C) > Slice From Guides
5) Let your creativity flow! Design eye-catching images
6) File > Save As Web Legacy > Save > All Slices
7) Export as two files, one PNG and the other PDF.
If you’re wondering how to post carousel images, here’s what you need to do for each platform:
Facebook: It requires a website link to present the carousel option. Copy your website link and paste it into the text section of your post.
A pop-up like this should appear. Select the chain icon, confirm the destination URL and then you will be able to upload all your images.
Instagram: Instagram makes it simple. All you need to do is select and upload multiple images. But, first, double-check that the files have uploaded in the correct order before you post!
LinkedIn: Carousel images need to be in a PDF Format. From there, all you will need to upload it as a File directly on the platform.
